2010-2011學年度註冊單(Registration From)

 

 

光華實驗中文學校即日起接受2010- 2011學年度新生與轉學生報名｡ 9/12/2010 (星期日) 開始上課｡以報名先後次序為錄取標準﹐額滿為止｡今年秋季班國語班預計開設十二班﹕學前初級班(P班)、學前中級班( K班)、一至八年級､九/十､十一/十二年級合併班及Chinese as a Second Language班六班: CSL Star, CSL1-CSL5｡文化班﹕國畫書法､卡通動漫畫､西畫､心算｡

2010-2011 school year goes from September 12th, 2010 through June 5th, 2011 (calendar will be published in the summer). North Valley Chinese School (NVCS) is currently accepting registrations. Please see instructions below for procedure. Registration is accepted in the order they were received. Students will be placed on waiting list if a class is full. NVCS has two Mandarin programs, one for heritage students and one for CSL (Chinese as a Second Language) students. Heritage Mandarin program offers Pre-K, K, and 1st thru 12th grades. CSL program offers CSL Star and CSL1 through CSL5 classes for 1st through 12th graders. The following cultural classes are planned: Chinese Painting, Chinese Calligraphy, Art – Drawing and Mental Arithmetic.

上課時間Time: 星期日上午Sundays. 國語班Mandarin Classes: 9 - 11:10 am

                                                     文化班Culture Classes: 11:20 am - 12:10 pm

一‧ 學前初級班 (P Class)

1.   註冊單｡ Registration Form.

2.   入學資格﹕2006年12月1日之前出生的兒童｡ Qualification: Birth date prior to 12/1/2006.

3.   證明文件﹕出生證明或其他可證明出生日期之文件｡ Provide birth certificate or other document as a proof of age.
 

二‧ 學前中級班 (K Class)

1.   註冊單｡ Registration Form.

2.   入學資格﹕已學過一年注音符號﹐年滿五歲的兒童｡ Five years or older and have learned Zhuyin for 1 year.

3.   證明文件﹕中文學校成績單｡ Chinese school report card, if applicable.

三‧ 轉學生/插班生(一～十二年級) Transfer Students (1^st – 12^th Graders)

1.   註冊單｡ Registration Form.

2.   入學資格﹕曾就讀中文學校﹐注音符號已有相當基礎的學生｡ Have attended Chinese school and knows Zhuyin.

3.   證明文件﹕中文學校成績單﹐或由教務組安排轉學考試以決定就讀年級｡Placement test or Chinese school report card.

四‧ CSL (Chinese as a Second Language): CSL Star, CSL1, CSL2, CSL3, CSL4, CSL5

1.   註冊單｡ Registration Form.

2.   入學資格 / Qualification﹕CSL Star: 6 or 7 years old. CSL1: 7 years or older. No Mandarin background.

3.   需要參加分級面談﹐開學前會通知分級面談時間｡ CSL2, CSL3, CSL4, CSL5: Language proficiency assessment decides placement.

退費及優待辦法

 

Refund and Discount Policy:

• Refund:
  This policy applies to all students, new or returning. Refund requests made prior to 9/12/2010 (not including 9/12/2010) are subject to $30 processing fee; requests made on 9/19/2010 or earlier are subject to $50 processing fee. No refund request is honored after 9/19/2010. To make a refund request, call 408-729-8288, or email r_cheung@sbcglobal.net, or come to the office during office hours. Mandarin students requesting a refund for Culture class on or prior to 9/19/2010  do not pay processing fee. Culture class-only students follow the same policy as do Mandarin students. If a Culture class is cancelled due to low enrollment (for instance, less then 10 students), then students can choose to attend another Culture class or get a refund.

• Sibling Discount:
  Each sibling gets $10 tuition discount, not counting the first child attending NVCS. This applies to Mandarin class students only.

• Mandarin class students receive $20 discount when also registering for Culture class.
